Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender Review
Although Vitamix has many juicer-blender models which they create by making slight differences in one basic model, it’s guaranteed that they always make quality products. Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender is also a quality product in the G-series of Vitamix and it has 5 preset functions including self-cleaning and a pulse function too.
Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender is labeled “light industrial food preparing machine” on its base, showing that this model is designed to offer far more than a blender.
Published: April 3, 2019.
Along with having the 5 preset functions, Pro 750 is compact and includes the quietest motor by Vitamix so far. Its low-profile design will allow it to fit comfortably beneath the wall units.
G-Series of Vitamix
As mentioned earlier, Pro 750 belongs to Vitamix’s G-Series that was introduced in 2013 and is an improvement over the previous C series of the company, in terms of performance as well as features.
The new features include 2.2 horsepower motor and airflow design that offers improved performance and less noise than the models in the previous series. Blenders in this series also have thermal protector and cooling fan which allow the blender to run longer with no overheating of motor, while remaining invisible.
But the most remarkable feature introduced in the G-series blenders is the shorter but wider 64oz low-profile containers. Since these containers are low-profile, the G-series blenders can fit under kitchen cabinets, unlike the “classic” tall containers. The wider container is also easier to clean. Another plus point of the G-series is that its tamper tool is easier to use.
7500 is the base model in the G-series with no presets, while the other two models 750 and 780 have been added with 5 preset functions:
1. Frozen desserts
2. Hot soups
Pro 750 has an ability to maintain a nice balance between the presets and a variable speed control for manual blending.
Dimensions of Pro 750 are 17.5” x 9.4” x 7.7” (height x depth x width) and it weighs around 5.7kg.

Features of Vitamix Pro 750
It should be noted that Vitamix has given emphasis to aesthetics while creating Pro 750 by adding a new smart Copper color to the existing Black and Brushed Stainless Metal finish, smooth lines and a softly rounded control dial beside the flick switches typical to Vitamix. The Copper color is the most expensive, followed by Brushed Stainless and then Black. The Copper and Brushed Stainless finishes are not real metal housings, but coatings that replicate metal, applied over a plastic housing. The coating is a bit more scratch resistant than the plastic housing and offers the machine a stylish look.
Controls are designed clearly and concisely. Programs can be found on one side of the dial whereas variable speeds from 1 to 10 sit on the other. Two switches flank the dial, one for pulse and the other for starting and stopping the machine, with an on-off rocker button on the side.
The 6-ft long power cord of Pro 750 can be smartly stored underneath the base unit when not in use.
Motor, Container and Blades
As mentioned earlier, Vitamix Pro 750 has a 2.2 HP motor which is constructed with ball bearing technology and is very powerful for a home blender. This new motor has been built to work with the broad-based container that has a 4” stainless steel (aircraft grade), laser-cut 4-pronged blade while traditional tall containers come with 3” blade.
The motor speeds up the blade at 37,000 RPMs to 270 miles per hour without overload or burnout. The 4-inch blade is able to easily blend nuts, hard veggies or ice; thus it can handle virtually anything that most home blenders have to struggle for. Since it’s 4” in diameter, users can choose a lower speed than they would for a blender with 3” blade to blend same amount of ingredients.
The ingredients get more space to move around due to the wider jar and the length of blades facilitates increased contact with food. Both these also cut down the prepping time as users can just throw large pieces like whole carrots in the container.
The 64oz wet blade container is included in the package; whereas users can get 48oz and 32oz wet blade and 32oz dry grains (for milling grains or kneading dough) containers at an extra cost. All these containers are made from high-quality, Eastman Tritan copolyester and feature measurement marks in milliliters and liters on one side and ounces and cups on the other.
The container is shatterproof and has an ergonomically designed, soft-grip handle. It sits atop a centering pad not requiring to twist it. It has a Santoprene rubber lid which is spill-proof and pushes on for a snug fit and has two flaps for easy removal. It has a central cap which users can remove to put in a tamper to move ingredients or add ingredients even while the machine is running. The container has a wide spout that makes pouring liquids out easy.
Power Settings and Other Functions
Pro 750 features variable speed controls from 1 to 10, together with a pulse button which can be used for moving ingredients around while blending. Thus, 750 offers a nice combination of hands off and manual controls for users who want both of these.
Preset and Stop and Go Functions
Pro 750 also has a start/stop lever that can turn the blades off instantly. The preset buttons are for frozen desserts, soups, purees and smoothies, and also a cleaning preset button which is very useful because the parts are not dishwasher safe.
NOTE: The preset functions however are not adjustable with the quantity of ingredients to be blended. Thus whether users are blending 2 cups or 5 cups, it will run for the same length of time.
Pro 750 comes with a self-cleaning preset function which is effective, but some crevices need to be cleaned by hand according to some users. The pitcher is to be filled halfway with water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid soap and turn it on at the self-clean setting.
Pro 750 produces 60-70 decibels of noise depending on the ingredients and speed. This can be imagined as the noise created by conversations in a restaurant. Users should note that the standard large 64oz or 48oz containers make less noise than the dry or wet 32oz containers do. A solution to reduce the noise (if users can’t tolerate it) made by any kitchen appliance is to place a rubber mat beneath the appliance.
Like most other Vitamix products, Pro 750 with its outstanding build quality comes with a massive 7-year warranty which covers the costs of round-trip shipping, labor and parts. The warranty is transferrable between 2 or more potential users within 7 years and begins from the purchase date.
What can Vitamix Pro 750 Do?
Users who have tried various recipes in Pro 750 have reported that this machine makes smoothies, frozen desserts and other dishes very well. In case of green smoothies, it starts at a low speed and blends the leaves forming a vortex that draws down the harder ingredients. The best part about Pro 750 is that, unlike some blenders that bounce ice around the jug before crushing it, Pro 750 incorporates ice cubes almost instantly. Once the mixture is blended, the program ramps up the speed to finish and users can finally get a velvety smoothie with a consistent flavor and texture and without any shards of ice.
While making frozen desserts, some users report that the berries clump together and the mixture no longer blends. If they separate the clump with tamper, the program elapses by then. But when they continue with a low speed, using the tamper, that proves effective and a creamy frozen dessert is formed.
While making dishes like soups, the machine starts at a low speed before achieving the speed that would heat the ingredients. In the last minute of the program, steam would emit from the lid. Once it’s finished, the top would get hot and users need to wear gloves to remove it.
This machine can also make juices. But users should remember that if they make carrot juice for example, they will get carrot pulp and to make it drinkable, they have to add water. If they want carrot juice without pulp, they should use a strainer to remove pulp or purchase a juicer.
Also users should remember not to overblend because ice will be melted with the friction caused by blades and they will end up with a warm smoothie.
It’s also advisable to put liquids (or watery ingredients or fruits) at the bottom, solids in the middle and ice on top. This allows ice to push everything down.
Plus, users can make nut butters, baby foods, ice-based cocktails, cake batter, salad dressings, snow cones, sauces, juices and much more with Pro 750. It can also make salsa because it has the pulse setting required for making salsa. And it’s perfect for crushing ice, grinding, chopping, pureeing, milling and kneading.

Pro 750 comes with many plus points and has been proven to be a workhorse. It’s a nice upgrade to the basic model of the G-series, 7500, given its preset as well as manual controls.
Users can hardly go wrong with Pro 750 because it has been made to last long and handle anything that’s thrown at it. The minus points of this blender are quite negligible.
All in all, Pro 750 is one of the best blenders on the market and users can definitely consider buying it for some serious juicing. It’s a great investment and relentlessly dependable though heavier, extremely versatile and worth showing off on the counter.
However, if they want a blender for making soups and shakes only occasionally, they should better look for a machine costing a third of the price of Pro 750.
