Features of NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro
Assembly and Disassembly
Assembling and disassembling the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is pretty easy as it has only a few parts. All users have to do is to screw the blade assembly onto the cup and then fit it on the motor base and twist a little to the right, and it’ll start blending.
Once users finish blending, all they have to do is twist it in the opposite direction from the base, unscrew the blade assembly from the container, and pour the juice into another glass or drink it directly from the juice cup.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is powered by a 900-watt motor which is quite powerful for a single-serve blender. This motor can handle almost all ingredients.
Size and Weight
Since the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is a personal blender, it’s pretty compact and its footprint is small. Thus it takes a small space on one’s countertop or storage.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro has only a one-speed setting. The absence of multiple speed settings makes the blender easier to use though.
There is no pulse setting; however, users can still pulse with this machine by pushing it down in short bursts. This is great for making chunkier salsas or blasting the remaining last chunks in the smoothie.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro comes with 2 32-oz juice cups made from BPA-free plastic.
If users don’t put hot ingredients into them or avoid crushing too many hard ingredients, they will last quite long. They are dishwasher-safe too.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is equipped with one set of 6-pronged stainless steel Extractor blades that use Cyclonic action to break down tough ingredients.
Note: The blades can handle frozen ingredients only to some extent - they are not as tough as they should be for frozen food and ice.
The drive socket on the base of the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is made from plastic. The components inside the blade housing are also made from plastic.
So, users have to make sure they avoid overheating of the motor so as to protect the drive socket. Since it tends to heat up quite quickly though, users shouldn’t blend for more than a minute at a time.
A significant feature of the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is the many accessories that come accompanying the power base. Along with 2 32-oz large juice cups, it also offers 1 Pro Extractor blade, 2 lip rings, and 2 lip rings with handles.
It also offers 2 flip-top to-go lids for carrying and enjoying juices and smoothies on the go. It’s a significant plus point of this blender that it offers users the ability to drink right out of the blending cup.
Plus it comes with a Care and Instruction manual, 1 Pocket Nutritionist, and 1 Blasting For Optimum Health recipe book.
Ease of Use
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is quite easy to use as it has simple steps to follow. Users just have to fill the cup with produce, screw the cup on the blade, twist it on the blade, push down and it starts blending.
Users just have to remember the “rule” of not running it for more than one minute at a time. If they want to do them more number of times, they should take a pause of 2 minutes between each two spins.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro has a quite long i.e. 26” cord. Therefore users can place the blender in a wide periphery of the electric outlet and not right up against it.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is quite loud when compared to other blenders. Thus, users cannot use it without waking the sleeping family members with the noise. Placing a rubber mat underneath can help reduce the noise a bit.
However, since users shouldn’t use it for more than one minute at a time, it’s not very disturbing.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is quite easy to clean as the juice cups are dishwasher-safe (top rack). However, the blades are not dishwasher-safe. But users can rinse the blades, quickly scrub them with soap and rinse again, and the blades will be clean. It’s advisable to do the cleanup right after the use to prevent debris from building up.
However, users should remember to avoid removing the gasket as this can damage the blade assembly and it will cause leakage.
The NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro is supported by a 1-year limited warranty. This is quite standard for blenders though not the greatest.
If the machine stops within the first year, they will send a replacement; but users have to pay the shipping cost.
However, NutriBullet is not famous for the “best” customer service and users may find it troublesome to use the warranty.
Doing Manual Adjustments
Although the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro doesn’t come with any control panel as such, users can do certain adjustments manually. For example, they can shake the juice cup to remove any air pockets so that a vortex can be created and ingredients can be blended evenly. Users can also push it down for a moment for a pulse effect.
Overall, the texture of what users put in this blender depends on how and how long they hold it down.
Thus, to chop foods, users may just press down on the container a few times, whereas to make a smoothie, they may press down a few times to start chopping the components and then press and hold the container down to smooth and liquefy the ingredients. If they want it cool, they can even put in a few ice cubes in the end and press a few times to grind the ice.
Although the NB9-1301 is not very good with ice crushing, a few ice cubes are not a problem.
Although the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro has no special functions or features, its performance is pretty satisfactory.
- It purees well with liquid, although not without liquid.
- Users can also use the pulse method manually to cut ingredients.
- The machine can grind herbs and seeds well.
- It makes quite nice smoothies from soft produce.
- It can also handle frozen ingredients but only in the presence of a significant amount of liquid.
- It cannot crush ice without liquid. In fact, the manufacturer warns against using it as an ice crusher.
- It can last longer if users don’t stuff it with tough ingredients.
However, users should avoid making anything hot. Since there is no escape for steam, putting hot liquids into this blender can be dangerous as it can build pressure causing it to splash when users open it and can burn users.

With the NutriBullet NB9-1301 Pro, one gets what they pay for. This is an affordable juice extractor which one can depend on for consistent juicing of veggies and fruits, although it’s not very durable neither does it have any cool features that the more advanced blenders offer. It offers optimum nutrition and makes it easier for digestion by breaking down skins and seeds of the produce. Plus, it has a great capability of juicing leafy greens and fibrous veggies.
But it may not be a right blender for tough ingredients as its blades cannot stand the frequent blending of frozen fruit.
Being simple and not having a big blending capacity, it’s perfect for people who live alone, or being compact it’s also good for those who have a small kitchen space or want to take the juice on the go and also nice for those who don’t wish to invest a lot in an expensive blender with a lot of fancy features.
